We collect two main types of information from your use of Piasi: information you voluntarily provide to us, and anonymous usage data collected automatically to improve our service.
Information You Provide
- All creative content you add to your personal knowledge base: including painting project details, step-by-step photos, timeline notes, color choices, and progress comparison photos
- Paint inventory data you input: brand names, color categories, and stock level tracking information
- Technique and tool records you create: including categorized entries for washes, drybrushing, enamel work, and custom tool references
- Account contact information (if you create an account to sync your data across devices)
Automatically Collected Information
We collect anonymous usage data to improve service performance, including device type, operating system, app interaction patterns, and crash reports. This data is never linked to your personal creative content without your explicit permission.
2. How We Use Your Information
We only use your information to provide and improve the core Piasi experience you expect:
- Power core product features: save your projects, maintain your searchable paint inventory, enable quick technique lookup, compare color results across projects, and generate exportable visual reference galleries
- Sync your data across your devices if you create an account, so your growing knowledge base is always available to you
- Improve our service: fix bugs, optimize performance, and develop new features that align with how our community uses Piasi
- Protect our service from abuse, fraud, and unauthorized access
We never use your personal creative content for advertising or marketing purposes without your explicit consent.
3. Data Sharing & Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information or creative content to third parties for any commercial purpose. We only share your data in the following limited circumstances:
- With trusted service providers who help us operate Piasi (such as cloud storage providers), who are contractually required to protect your data and only use it to deliver services to us
- If required by law, to comply with legal process or protect the rights, property, and safety of Piasi, our users, or the public
- If you explicitly choose to share your project galleries or knowledge base content with third parties, that activity is governed by your own choices and the privacy policies of the platforms you share to
4. Data Security & Retention
We implement industry-standard security measures (encryption, access controls, regular security audits) to protect your data from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as long as you need it to use our service. You can delete individual projects, your entire inventory, or your full account at any time directly through the app, and we will permanently remove your data from our active systems within 30 days of your request.
5. Your Control Over Your Data
Because your Piasi profile is your personal creative knowledge base, you retain full control over all of your content at all times:
- Edit, update, or delete any of your content (projects, inventory entries, technique records) at any time directly in the app
- Export all of your data (including all photos, notes, and cataloged information) in a standard, portable format at any time
- Request access to any of your personal information we hold, or request permanent deletion of all your data, by contacting us directly
6. Children's Privacy
Piasi is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete that information immediately.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or our service. When we make changes, we will post the updated policy on this page and update the effective date at the top of the policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
